CPP elect candidate for Gomoa West

Apam (C/R), Sept. 15, GNA – Mr. Augustus Paa Kwesi Essiam, a 54 year-old businessman was at the weekend elected as the Convention People’s Party (CPP) parliamentary candidate for Gomoa West. Addressing party activists at the conference at Apam, Nana Oduro Baffoe, constituency chairman, of the CPP cautioned other parties against underrating the CPP in the upcoming elections. “The CPP which was perceived to be a Party for old men and women, has now become a Party for the youth,” Nana Baffoe said. In his acceptance speech, Mr. Essiam thanked the delegates for the confidence they reposed in him and assured that he would be their messenger and would not lord the position on them when elected to parliament.

He appealed to supporters to regard themselves as members of his campaign team and reach out to the electorate in every corner of the constituency.
