CPP consoles families of Chinebuah, Boaten and Annan

Accra, July 19, GNA – The Convention People’s Party (CPP) on Wednesday sent its condolences to the families of three prominent politicians, who have passed away.

They are Dr Isaac Chinebuah, Former Foreign Minister under the Third Republic; Mr Kwku Boateng, a Minister under the First Republic and Former Speaker of Parliament, Mr Justice Daniel Francis Annan. A statement signed by Dr Edmund Delle, Chairman of the CPP, said they recognised the important roles played by Dr Chinebuah and Mr Boateng to the Party, adding “posterity will not forget the good works of these men”.

It said the CPP received the news of the death of Mr Justice Annan with shock and recalled his enormous contribution to the Ghanaian Parliament from 1992 to 2000 and the role he played in drafting the 1992 Constitution.

“History will rank him as one of the most industrious sons Ghana has ever had. It is, therefore, the hope of the CPP that Ghanaians will choose to copy his good works.”
