CPP activist calls on politicians to forge national unity and development

Nsawam, Feb. 16, GNA – Mr Nick Afari-Arthur, a leading member of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) in Aburi-Nsawam Constituency, on Monday appealed to all political parties to engage in developmental issues and not matters that divide the nation. “The people need development projects such as schools, feeder roads, health centres, electricity and potable water. to enhance their lifestyles. It is about time politicians stop politicking with the lives of the people,” he said.

Mr Afari-Arthur gave the advice at a forum organised by the Youth-wing of the CPP at Nsawam to disseminate the party’s developmental vision in the constituency. He asked fellow politicians to initiate moves to empower the youth to be productive.

Mr Afari-Arthur asked the youth to embrace education to become responsible people in society and not allow themselves to be influenced by unscrupulous persons to achieve their selfish gains. He urged them to support the Municipal Assembly to initiate projects to give the area a facelift. Mr Afari-Arthur said Ghanaians should change their negative attitudes and perception about people in public office, appreciate their contribution to society and avoid the pull-him-down syndrome. 16 Feb. 10
