Cow thief remanded in custody

Tema, Feb. 8, GNA – A herdsman who attempted stealing a cow from a kraal in the night at Kakasunanka, near Ashaiman, has been remanded into custody by the Tema circuit court ‘A’.

Musah Issaka pleaded not guilty and will reappear on February 16, 2005.

Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Sarah Aggrey Acquah told the court, presided over by Mr Charles Asiedu, that the complainant, whose animals had been missing, spotted the accused at 2200 hours on January 3, 2005, trying to untie some cows.

Chief Inspector Acquah said when the accused was confronted, he pulled out a machete and threatened to harm the complainant and some members of his family but they overpowered and arrested him.
