Court remands two over human skull

A Kumasi Circuit Court has remanded two persons into prison custody for possessing and trading in human parts.

The plea of Alex Agyemang Duah, trader and Agooge Asana, farmer, was not taken and they will come back on February 8, 2013.

Chief Superintendent Moses Atibillah told the Court presided over by Justice William Boampong that on January 21, in the morning, police were alerted by a witness that someone was offering a human skull for sale to him at Asawasi, in Kumasi.

Police proceeded to the scene and arrested Duah, who was being paid GH¢450.00 by witness in the case after bargain.

In his caution statement, Duah mentioned Asana as the one who gave the skull to him to sell.

This led to the arrest of Asana, his accomplice.
