Court remands two for causing harm

Kumasi, March 4, GNA- The Kumasi Circuit Court, presided over by Mr Ernest Yao Obimpeh, has remanded a trader and a driver’s mate in prison custody for causing unlawful harm.

Kofi Paul, the trader and Daniel Narh, the mate, pleaded not guilty and would re-appear on March 22.

Police Chief Inspector J.K. Afful told the Court that Abugri Bonsogri, the complainant, attended a record dance at Suame with his sister, Emma Aberinga on Valentine’s Day, February 14. While on the dancing floor, Paul allegedly stepped on the toes of the complainant’s sister leading to a quarrel.

Chief Inspector Afful said Paul left the dance hall and returned later with 10 armed friends who pursued Bonsogri and inflicted wounds on him.

He said Bonsogri made a report to the Police after being rescued by sympathisers.
