Court remands repairer for inflicting cutlass wounds on student

Kumasi, Jan 10, GNA – A thirty-year-old electronics repairer, who attacked and inflicted deep cutlass wounds on a student has been ordered by a Kumasi Circuit Court to be held a prison remand.

Alex Akuoko alias “Abrafour Electronics” faces charges of conspiracy and causing harm.

He denied the offence and would be brought back in court on Monday, January 24.

His accomplice, known only as Nana Akwasi is, however, on the run.

Police Inspector Kwabena Oduro Boateng told the court presided over by Justice William Boampong that the victim, Stephen Asante Smith, is a student and lives at Appiedu while the accused stays at Emena, all in Kumasi.
