Kumasi, Aug. 1, GNA – Three farmers at Fufuo in the Atwima-Nwabiagya district who threatened to kill Madam Christiana Efah Adampah whose brother had sent them to court were last Wednesday remanded in prison custody by a Kumasi circuit court.
The three, Atta Kakrah, 22, Kwabena Nsia, 23, and Kwaku Somuah, 25, all pleaded not guilty and will re-appear on August 2.
Chief Inspector Evelyn Addo told the court, presided over by Mr Essel Mensah that on April 2, this year, the accused persons wielding cutlasses entered the shop of Madam Adampah, the complainant and threatened to butcher her as one Adwoa Fordjour was butchered sometime ago.
She said this scared the complainant who made a report to the police.
The prosecutor said the police then invited the three accused persons to the station but they refused to turn up but the investigator traced them to a court where they were standing trial in another case. Chief Inspector Addo said, however, that during interrogation the accused persons denied the charge.
