Court remands carpenter for stealing

Tema, Oct. 11, GNA – The Tema Circuit Court “B”, has remanded a carpenter into custody for stealing 35 chamber covers belonging to the Ghana Telecom.

Ali Jibrilli pleaded guilty and would reappear on October 13. Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Edith Nutakor, told the Court presided over by Mr. Stephen Teye, that on September 29, 2004, the Management of Ghana Telecom, had information that the accused had removed the items valued at 16.3 million cedis at its project site in Community One, leading to his arrest.
