Court orders prosecution to release suspected J.B killer’s medical report

The Accra Central District Court has ordered the state prosecutors to release a medical report on the age of Daniel Asiedu to his lawyer.

Augustine Obour, Counsel for Daniel Aseidu, one of the suspects in the murder of J. B Danquah, MP for Abuakwa North, says his client is a young offender and should be accorded special treatment as set out by the law.

Mr Obuor has held that the District court should also compel the state to furnish him with Aseidu’s bone testing report in their custody.

The State Prosecutor, Superintendent Francis Baah acknowledged that it was only the court that could compel prosecution to furnish them with bone testing report.

The presiding Judge, Stephen Owusu thus ruled that the state should furnish the defendants with the medical report since they are entitled to it.

Asiedu aka Sexy Don don and Vincent Bosso are being held for murder of the late MP, JB Dankwah Adu in an incident which occurred on February 9 this year, at his Shaishie residence.

Bosso has been charged with abetment of crime to wit murder and both pleas had not been taken.
