Court grants driver bail for traffic offence

Cape Coast, Feb 15, GNA – Peter Torgah, a 33-year-old driver, was on Monday granted 12 million cedis’ bail for careless driving and negligently causing harm to a 10 year-old girl Bernice Ewusi at Abakam near Cape Coast.

Torgah pleaded not guilty and would reappear on Tuesday March 8. Prosecuting, Chief inspector Oheneba Boateng told the court that on January 18 a vehicle Torgah was driving knocked down Ewusi who was crossing the road.

He said the little girl sustained injuries and was taken to the Central Regional Hospital where she was treated and discharged.
