Court grants driver a 20 million-cedi bail

Nyinahin (Ash), Oct 29, GNA-The Nyinahin magistrate court has granted a 30-year-old driver who has been arraigned before the court for careless driving, 20 million cedis with one surety to justify. Anthony Apaka pleaded not guilty and will re-appear on November 2. Police Inspector Raphael Dan-Mensah told the court that at about on June 22, 2002, the accused who was driving a Land Rover from Accra to Bibiani knocked down a 42-year-old farmer, Peter Amoako who was returning from his farm, killing him instantly.
