Accra, June 21, GNA – An Accra Circuit Court presided over by Mr Kwadwo Owusu has adjourned to July 29 a case in which two teenagers allegedly defiled a 13-year old girl in turns.
The accused Eric Tulasi, 19, and Bernard Kofi Ankama, 17, both residents of Anyaa in the Greater Accra Region, have been charged with two counts of conspiracy and defilement. They have both pleaded not guilty and have been granted bail.
The Prosecution said on April 17 2005 at about 1930 hours Tulasi and Ankama conspired and defiled the victim at Anyaa. The Prosecution said the accused persons invited the victim into a room under the pretext of sending her but as soon as she entered the room, the boys switched off the light, gagged her and defiled her in turns until she became weak.
The victim fell sick a few days later and was admitted at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. When she was questioned, she narrated her ordeal and the case was reported to the Anyaa Police, who later transferred it to the Women and Juvenile Unit of the Ghana Police Service, the Prosecution said.
