Court fines man for sanitation offences

Assin Fosu (C/R), Aug. 15, GNA – Musa Djato, a farmer was on Wednesday fined GHc40 by Assin Fosu District magistrate court for keeping an untidy piggery and allowing stagnant and chocked drain on his premises.

Djato, who pleaded guilty and will go to jail for two months in default.

Prosecuting, Mr. Charles Quainoo, the district environmental officer, told the court that on July 18 this year, Environmental Health officers on routine inspection entered Djato’s premises and detected that his pig sty was in “a horrible state beyond description.
