Court fines driver’s mate for threatening to kill aunt

Nyinahin (Ash), Oct 30, GNA – The Nyinahin magistrate court has fined a 21-year-old driver’s mate two million cedis for threatening to kill his aunt and damaging two big water containers. Kofi Owusu pleaded guilty and will go to prison for eight months in default.

Police Chief Inspector Raphael Dan-Mensah told the court Owusu accused Nana Akosua Bima, the Queen Mother of Animoa near Adiembra, his aunt the aunt, of killing his father.

Chief Inspector Dan-Mensah said on October 23, Owusu saw his aunt returning from a funeral and threatened to kill her with a club but she was rescued.

He said in his fury, Owusu destroyed two big plastic water containers belonging to the Queen .
