The Adabraka District Court has adjourned the murder case of the late Immigration Officer, Stephen King Amoah, to October 9, 2025.
The hearing comes exactly two months after the officer was reported missing and five days before his body was discovered.
The prime suspect, Bright Aweh, and the second accused, Thomas Zigah, were present in court. Prosecutors requested a one-month extension of remand to allow for further forensic investigations and ongoing inquiries. The court granted the request, ordering that the accused remain in custody.
Counsel for the second accused, Gordon Aboagye, maintained his client’s innocence and expressed readiness to prove it.
He raised concerns about the lack of information regarding the detention of the accused, emphasizing that families should be allowed access to provide necessities and confer with them.
He also appealed to the family of the deceased to allow due process to take its course, saying: “It is not easy to lose a loved one, but we are on our bended knees to allow the law to work. We are not enemies.”
The presiding judge cautioned the family of the late officer against taking the law into their own hands, warning that such actions could result in legal consequences.
The case has now been adjourned to October 9, 2025, for continuation.
Meanwhile a dramatic scene unfolded at the Adabraka District Court when the aunt of murdered immigration officer, Stephen King Amoah, performed rituals by breaking eggs and invoking curses on those she believes are responsible for his death.
She cursed“Anyone responsible for his death should also suffer the same fate. All your generation will suffer the same fate; the gods should deal ruthlessly with anyone responsible for his death, the gods shouldn’t spare anyone involved in his murder.”
