Couple donates wheel chairs to Oda Government hospital

Akyem Oda (E/R), Oct 21, GNA – Mr Seth Fiifi Aboagye, General Manager of Oda Sawmills and his wife, Mrs Gladys Aboagye on Saturday donated eight wheel chairs to the Akyem Oda Government hospital. In her remarks during the presentation, Mrs Aboagye said on a recent visit to the hospital, they realised that there were not enough wheel chairs.

She said the donation was just a beginning of “more things to come” disclosed their intention to construct a doctor’s rest room at the hospital early next year.

Dr Osei Bonsu, Principal Medical Officer in charge of the Hospital, thanked the couple for the donation.

He said the items came at a time the hospital was in dire need of them and gave the assurance that they would be put to good use. Dr Bonsu said the hospital was in short supply of doctors and nurses adding that only two doctors were currently manning the hospital.
