Couple donate 12 million-cedi worth of books to school

Kumasi, Nov 26, GNA – A Ghanaian private medical practitioner and his German wife on Wednesday donated assorted books valued at more than 12 million cedis to the Gyinyase M/A Junior Secondary School in Kumasi. Dr Stephen Osei Kwakwa his wife Steinbrink-Reken, said it was their contribution towards the promotion of high academic performance of the school.

They had earlier provided the school with an overhead water tank and a sanitary facility at a cost of 42 million cedis.

Dr Kwakwa spoke of plans to adopt the school and source financial assistance from his counterparts in Germany to improve conditions there. Mr Omono Ako Dankwa, officer in-charge of the Asokwa Sub-Metro, who received the books on behalf of the school, thanked the couple for their support.
