Couple allegedly kills child for rituals

A man and wife both residents at Abomsu in the Eastern region are currently in the grips of police for allegedly killing their physically challenged child.

The suspect one Kwabena and Abena Mary connived together to use the deceased for money rituals at the order of a mallam.

The parents according to Nyankonton Mu Nsem’s Sir Joe said, the parents claimed the child is a ‘spirit child’ and a bad omen unto them hence their decision to use the child for the rituals to enable them make money.

Sir Joe said the mallam, by name Nurudeen ordered to bring their child who according to him could neither walk, talk or do anything. Obeying the orders of the mallam, the suspects reportedly brought the child before the mallam who allegedly killed the child.

The police are currently investigation the matter.
