Corruption not only with politicians but civil servants – Rev. Amuani

Tema, Dec. 5, GNA – The Founder of the Christian Faith Church Reverend John Benjamin Amuani, has urged Ghanaians not to look at the issue of corruption with politicians alone but with civil servants. He said the Civil Service is full of corrupt activities that, if not checked, would retard the progress of the nation and as well unduly delay the country’s quest to attain middle-income status. The Reverend Minister was speaking at a thanksgiving service to mark the first year anniversary celebration of the Church in Tema over the weekend.

He however, advised Ghanaians, especially the youth against promiscuity as a way of preventing Sexual Transmitted Diseases (STDs) infection and the spread of the deadly HIV/AIDS disease. He also advised members of various Churches to be bold and question the life styles of their leaders when they are to serve as check on them and also to ensure that they lead Godly lives that would be worthy of emulation.

He commended members of the Church of their good work throughout the past year and hoped the Church would continue providing for, not only the spiritual needs of its members but their physical needs as well.

In a related development, 14 executive officers of the Tema Local Council of Churches have been inducted into office with Right Reverend Albert Kwasi, Pastor Gateway Baptist Church advised Christians to avoid struggling over trivial things but rather be good to everyone and share the word of God together. He hoped the congregation will offer their fullest support to ensure that the officers end their term successfully.
