Corrupt leadership cause of poverty in Ghana – Pastor

The Head pastor of the Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC), Rev. Ransford Obeng has attributed the high incidence of poverty in Ghana to selfishness and greed on the part of the rich and influential in society.

According to the respected man of God, the nation has been blessed with all it needs to adequately feed and cater for its citizens but these acts are depriving the citizenry these opportunities.

He made the observation over the weekend at a nationwide blood donation exercise he spearheaded to mark his sixtieth birthday. He challenged Ghanaian leaders to eschew corruption and rather use their positions of influence to affect and better the lives of people in their reach.

Pastor Ransford Obeng also warned the Electoral Commission and all bodies charged to organise this year’s elections to ensure that the peace and stability of the country is not compromised.

He indicated this could only happen if the verdict of Ghanaians is tampered with urging the authorities to allow the will of the people to prevail at the polls.
