“Corrupt” EC, Judges can’t ensure clean polls in 2016 – Agyepong

Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyepong, has said it will be difficult to ensure a free and fair elections in 2016 because officials of the Electoral Commission, Judges and all other state institutions are corrupt.

According to him, government is intimidating all the key state agencies to ensure that it continues to stay in control of affairs of the state.

“The government intimidates all the officials so they can’t use their mind, they go with the flow. So once they all they adhere to what the government wants them to do, it will be difficult to ensure free and fair elections but we will try our best”.

“The EC is afraid to speak the truth, they are all corrupt, from Judges, legislature and every institution in the country, so when we talk of fairness, I am afraid” the NPP firebrand stated in an interview with the US-based Sahara TV.

He alleged that there some public officials who will do everything possible to ensure that the NDC government continues to stay in power.

Nonetheless, he says, the NPP will put measures in place to ensure that they are not cheated in the polls.
