Corn miller remanded for defilement

Accra, July 11, GNA – Benjamin Adukpo, a 28 year old corn-miller who defiled an eight-year old girl on the floor of the corn-mill at Nkwantanang, a suburb of Madina has been remanded by a circuit court in Accra.

Adukpo pleaded not guilty before the court presided over by Mrs Bartels Kodwo and will reappear on July 20.

According to Police Chief Inspector Peter Bennie, on June 26, this year the minor went to church with her parents and was asked to return home because she and other children were disturbing at the church. While on her way home, Adukpo called her and sent her to buy some cooked rice. When she returned, the accused forced her down on the bare floor of the corn mill and forcibly had sex with her GNA
