Convoy carrying Mahama’s family involved in accident

The convoy which was carrying the family of President John Mahama to the commissioning of the first of his promised 200 new secondary schools at Ekumfi Otuam in the Central region was reportedly involved in an accident.

The incident occurred when the convoy reportedly rammed into a Chrysler belonging to one Nana Agyemang – a real estate developer – at Dominase on the Accra-Cape Coast road.

According to an eyewitness, a national security operative stormed out of the vehicle carrying the family and pulled out a gun threatening to shoot the driver of the Chrysler for allegedly driving recklessly.

StarrFMonline.com sources say the military driver of the family of Mahama, Benjamin Takyi, transferred the president’s family into another vehicle and drove off.

Meanwhile, the President today officially commissioned the first of his promised 200 secondary schools at Otuam in the Central region to kick-start his free SHS policy.

The four-storey state of the art school is named after the late Professor John Evans Atta Mills.
