According to a local radio station, Joy FM,, the Controller and Accountant General, John Prempeh has been asked to proceed on leave with immediate effect.
Mr. Prempeh was served with the letter from the Finance Ministry on Tuesday
The reasons for the directive are not clear, but sources at the ministry say, Mr. Prempeh is not likely to return to post.
