Contribute to development of hometowns – Ghanaians urged

Accra, Dec 23, GNA – Mr Henry Kofi Karikari, a businessman, has stressed the need for Ghanaians to contribute towards the development of their hometowns.

He said the era when the central government provided the entire basic infrastructure for people in rural communities was past and gone. Mr Karikari made the call at the inauguration of the Accra-Tema branch of the Ntonso “Kroye Kuo,” a development-oriented organisation, in Accra at the weekend.

Mr Karikari, a citizen of Ntonso in the Kwabre District, paid tribute to the founding fathers of the union for their vision and dedication and urged the members to do everything possible to fulfil the dreams of the pioneers.

The Chairman of the union, Mr Konadu, appealed citizens of the town who are not members of the union to join for a collective effort to ensure the development of their hometown.
