Contractor made chief at Wamanafo

Wamanafo (B/A), April 28, GNA – A 55-year-old Sunyani-based contractor, Mr Offe Atakora has been enstoolled as Nfotohene at Wamanafo in the newly created Dormaa West district.

Mr Offe, Managing Director of Dynamic Stars Construction Limited, swore the oath of allegiance under the stool name Nana Kwaku Kyeremeh Ampaabeng Sikafour II to succeed Nana Yaw Tutu Ababio who died in June 2006.

By the tradition of the people of Mansen, the new Nfotohene automatically becomes the Krontihene of Mansenhene, Barimah Ansu Adjei, who doubles as Krontihene of Dormaahene, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II.

Nana Kyeremeh pledged to work to consolidate his predecessor’s achievements.

He appealed to the people to support and cooperate with him in all matters in order to develop the area.

The chief pledged an open-door policy and consensus building in the discharge of his duties.

The Nfoto Queen mother, Nana Adwoa Taabea commended the people of Wamanafo for the peaceful manner in which they chose the new chief and urged them to maintain such united front towards projects and programmes designed to improve their living conditions.
