Contractor commits suicide

Suhum, Dec. 4, GNA – Kwabena Boakye, a- 35-year-old contractor and owner of a Restaurant at Asokore, a suburb of Koforidua, allegedly committed suicide when he was found hanging in a bush at Amenhia near Suhum at the weekend. According to the police, the deceased was found hanging on a cocoa tree by a farmer who went to her farm and later reported the case to the Odikro of Amenhia, Baffour Tetteh Daniel, who also informed the police at Suhum.

The source said a search on the deceased found 7.5 million old Ghana Cedis in his pocket. The body of the deceased, which was in a state of decomposition was buried at Amenhia after a post mortem examination at the Suhum Government Hospital only for family members to exhume it later and re-buried it at Asokore after hearing of the case. 04 Dec. 08
