Contractor Builds Day-Care Centre For Community

Gomoa Abonko (C/R) A road contractor, Mr Theophilus Biney, has constructed a 15- million cedi day care centre for the Gomoa Abonko branch of 31st December Women’s Movement to show his appreciation for the achievements of the movement in enhancing the image of the Ghanaian woman and child. Mr Biney, managing director of Eagle Star, last Sunday led newsmen to inspect the centre comprising three classrooms, office, a store, a kitchen, two toilets and a bathroom. It also has a water reservoir and enclosed play-ground. He said he has placed orders for a quantity of teaching, learning and play materials for the centre. Mr Biney said he was waiting for a convenient date from the first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings to hand over the centre to the movement.
