Continue to maintain stability, peace, law & order – Akufo-Addo to Security Agencies

President Nana Akufo-Addo has charged the security agencies to continue to secure our domestic peace and the sanctity of our property.

The president stated that Ghana’s Armed Forces and the various security agencies are celebrated globally due to their hard work and dedication. He was delivering his 60th Anniversary speech at the Independence Square to commemorate our Diamond Jubilee under the theme, ”Mobilising for Ghana’s Future”.

He also used the opportunity to commend the security agencies for their professionalism and contribution to global peace and security.

The president said: “Our Armed Forces and security services are rightly celebrated across the region, the continent and the world for their professionalism and contribution to global peace and security. I thank the officers and the men and women of the Ghana Armed forces, the police service and the other security services for their display of order, pomp and ceremony. And I thank them all for their willingness to put their lives on the line to secure our domestic peace and tranquility and the sanctity of our property.’’

He also used the opportunity to thank the students and security for their match past.

‘’I thank the children from across the country for their excellent march. I thank the cultural troupes from across the country on their magnificent display, which has showcased the best of Ghanaian culture.’’
