Contaminated fuel a scheme to retrieve NPP’s campaign cash – NDC

The opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) says the Head of Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) was strategically positioned by Akufo-Addo so he could recoup the funds sunk into the NPP campaign in the 2016 polls.

The main opposition NDC believes the murky issues emerging from the state institution is testament to the NPP government’s grand scheme.

“We know Alfred Obeng who is heading BOST is a known financier of the NPP. So the President is quiet about the many corrupt activities he is doing at BOST. We know he was sent to BOST to do whatever he likes, including contaminating fuel in order to retrieve the money he used to sponsor the NPP during the elections,” chairman of the party Kofi Portuphy alleged during a press briefing by the party in Accra Thursday.

He described as abysmal the performance of the Akufo-Addo government in its first six months.

According to him, the ruling NPP has failed on many fronts since it assumed office in January 7.

The comments come on the back of the President’s maiden press encounter with Journalists in Accra.
