Confiscated vehicles allocation committee constituted

Accra, April 23, GNA – The temporary ban on the registration of vehicles and the auction of goods has been lifted with immediate effect, a statement from the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning said in Accra on Thursday.

It said this followed the constitution of the Confiscated Vehicles Allocation Committee.

The statement said all auctions of vehicles and goods would henceforth be conducted under the supervision of the committee. “Importers are reminded that the 60 days deadline for clearance of vehicles at various entry points will be strictly observed,” the statement said, adding that any request for extension should be directed to the committee.
