Concerned Teachers called off srike

Coalition of Concerned Teachers(CCT), has called off their three day nationwide strike after meeting with National Labour commission yesterday.

According to aggrieved teachers, with the assurance given to them by the Leaderships of NLA, GES and ministry of Employment and Social Warfare , they have no reason to away from classic rooms while their grievances are adhere to.

Speaking on Classic Breakfast Show pregramme hosted Alhaji Tanko on May 19th 2011, the spokesperson for the CCT Mr. Kingsley Darko appealed to the members to return to class rooms while negotiations are still ongoing.

Mr. Darko annouced that the NLA has given them two weeks to propose the amount that will be befitting them and justify why they shold be paid with that salary tructure.

Mr. Darko gave assuranc that the leadership will not compromise theeir concienceadding that they have schedule a National Congress in Sunyanion Wednersday to debate on the outcome and appealled to the teachers to participate.

But here in Techiman a visit Classic news indicate that the school doors remained closed with school children still roaming the principal streets. When asked why the Teachers are not in Class rooms the local leaders say they are yet meet to take a decision.
