Concern Citizens of New Juaben supports Barimah’s nomination

Koforidua, Jan 28, GNA – The Concerned Citizens of New Juaben on Friday expressed its gratitude to President J. A. Kufuor for nominating Mr Yaw Barimah as the Eastern Regional Minister.

The Concerned Citizens, a pressure group, said in a statement that the group was not happy with pronouncements from certain quarters trying to discredit the appointee.

It challenged those who were protesting against Mr Barimah’s nomination to come out publicly to say why Mr Barimah, who is also the MP for New Juaben South, should not be appointed.

“Personal hatred cannot solve the problems of the country.” The statement signed by Mr J.K. Danso, Chairman/Spokesman of the group, advised the people to allow the President to do “his own thing that will promote the better development of the country.”

The group said the nomination of Mr Barimah would help accelerate the development of the Eastern Region and assured Mr Barimah of its support if his nomination was approved by Parliament.
