Computerisation of SSS admissions ready for take off

Obuasi (Ash), March 17, GNA – The computerisation of admissions into Senior Secondary Schools throughout the country will take off this academic year, Mr James Osman Adjei, Ashanti Regional Guidance and Counselling Officer, has said.

Addressing members of the Ghana National Association of Private Schools at Obuasi, Mr Adjei said the programme would help to make admissions to the SSS transparent, fair and devoid of favouritism. He called on teachers to spend quality time teaching their students and ensure that they effectively cover the syllabus.

“Let us accept to work hard and show greater commitment to our profession to raise the academic performance of pupils and students”. He also urged the school heads to strengthen their supervision of both teachers and children in their schools.
