He said Compassion International Ghana was operating in Central, Greater Accra, Eastern, Volta, Ashanti Western and Brong Ahafo regions.

Mr Baffour Agyapong said 57,000 children are under the care of the NGO.

He appealed to Community leaders and churches to ensure that no child at their area of operation was left out of their children Development Programme.

The Country Director said the Organization would ensure that children in their care were given quality education, health care and trained to become good Christian adults in future.

Nana Kwaw Ofosu III, chief of Jamra in the Asikuma-Odoben Brakwa District, commended the NGO for promoting the welfare of children in the area.

He appealed to the Parents and guardians to invest in their children’s education to enable them become useful future citizens.

Nana Ofosu said the government alone could not provide education infrastructures, teaching materials and payment of salaries of teachers to every community in the country and appealed to NGOs, corporate bodies and philanthropists to assist.
