Community leaders render accounts of stewardship

Gomoa-Kyiren(C/R), June 1, GNA — Chiefs and other community leaders at Gomoa-Kyiren in the Central Region at the weekend rendered accounts of their stewardship for the past year to the people at a meeting at Gomoa-Kyiren.

The meeting called by the Assemblyman for the area, Mr Nicholas Sam, coincided with the annual “Ahoba Kakraba” festival of the people. It helped to clear the minds of the people in connection with the disbursement of revenue collected by the leaders for development. Addressing the meeting Mr Sam appealed to the people to unite to enable them initiate and implement viable self-help projects to supplement Government efforts.

The Tufohene and the Obaatan of the Town assured the inhabitants of transparency to maintain the trust and confidence reposed in them to enhance development.

Meanwhile, Opanyin Kobina Essel a prominent maize grower in the community has advised young farmers not to allow the rains to prevent them from clearing their overgrown farms to ensure good yields
