Community leader appeals for re-gravelling of feeder road

Nsawam, July 16, GNA – Mr. Godfred Owusu, Chairman for Yaw Densu electoral area near Nsawam in the Akuapim South District on Sunday appealed to the Ministry of Transportation to re-gravel a five-kilometre feeder road in the area to facilitate the transportation of persons and foodstuffs.

Mr Owusu, briefing the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said the road links Kofisah on the main Nsawam/Coaltar road through Yaw Densu to Damang and Darmang Ahwerease.

He said because of the deplorable nature of the road drivers had refused to ply the area compelling farmers from about 20 communities to carry their produce and walk long distances to markets in Nsawam. Mr Owusu appealed to the acting Minister of Transportation, Mr. Magnus Opare Asamoah, who is also MP for the area to facilitate the process to alleviate the suffering of the people.
