COMMUNITY CENTRE AT YENDI

The Yendi district assembly has constructed a community center for the Yendi township at a cost of 384 million cedis. The centre was financed from the district’s share of the common fund. The deputy Northern Regional Minister, Mr. San Nasamu Asabigi, who commissioned the project urged the assembly to manage the centre profitably in order to generate more funds to undertake similar projects in other communities in the districts. Mr. Asabigi reminded the people of the unit committee elections and asked them to elect competent and committed people to serve on the committees. The MP for Yendi, Mr. Malik Alhassan Yakubu, called on the regional coordinating council to impress on the Ghana Highway Authority, the need to expedite action on the rehabilitation of the Yendi-Tamale road. gri
