Communities commends Member of Parliament

Bayerebon Number Three (Ash), May 01, GNA – Some communities in the Atwima-Mponua District have commended Mr Isaac Kwame Asiama, the Member of Parliament for the area, for honouring promises he made during his electioneering campaign in 2004.

The communities are Bayerebon No 3, Dodowa, Kwadwo Fordjourkrom, Awona, Bayerebon No 5, Goigoikrom and Kaakatire. Mr Justice Mohammed, assemblyman for Bayerebon No 3, made the commendation on behalf of the communities when the MP toured some of the communities at the weekend.

He said the MP has provided them with boreholes, rehabilitated a number of feeder roads and has given scholarships to brilliant but needy pupils and students in both basic and second cycle institutions. The assemblyman said through Mr Asiama, through the common fund, has employed 15 pupil teachers to teach in some schools in the district. The MP thanked the people for their co-operation and pledged to continue to improve their living conditions.

Mr Asiama said his next plan was to dig more boreholes, extend electricity to the deprived areas and to award more scholarships.
