Comfort Atta confirmed as DCE for Biakoye

The Biakoye District Assembly has given overwhelming endorsement to the nomination of Ms. Comfort Attah as the District Chief Executive (DCE).Forty-two of the members voted yes while five dissented in an election held at Nkonya and supervised by Electoral Commission (EC).Her nomination to the position came after the President’s earlier nominee, Ms. Millicent Kiki Kabukie, had failed to get the nod of the assembly.

Ms. Attah, until her appointment, was the Asuoagyaman District Secretary of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), and is now the only female DCE in the Volta Region.
She thanked the assembly and pledged that she would not disappoint but work with everybody to bring development to the district.
She would be transparent and accountable and called for all to accept to pull together to make things happened.

Ms. Atta said it was important that they all found space to contribute to the socio-economic progress of the area.
