Combert Impressions donate to Haiti Fund

Accra, 18, June, GNA – Combert Impressions, a printing and communication company on Friday donated an amount of 2,000 Ghana Cedis to the World Vision Ghana Haiti relief fund to support victims of the Haiti Earthquake as well as Survivors.

Mr Albert Ocran, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Combert Impressions, who made the donation, said he was happy to partner with World Vision Ghana to join the global effort to help the people of Haiti after the devastating earthquake that hit the country on 12 January 2010. Mr Ocran said as part of the company’s 15th Anniversary, it was prudent to be associated with such a ceremony to show love and care for the needy in the society.

He said the company, in the quest to fulfil its social responsibility, had embarked on a 40-day journey to bring information to the society about career development.

Mrs. Agnes A. Philips, Director of Advocacy, Communications and Marketing, World Vision Ghana, on behalf of the Relief Committee thanked the donors for the support and appealed to other organizations to help the affected people.

Mrs Philips said they had been able to mobilize 60,000 dollars and expressed the hope that the money would be used for its intended purpose. World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to helping children and communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty. It also improves the health of children, basic education, spiritual and emotional life, ensures protection from abuse, violence neglect and exploitation. World Vision started its operations in Ghana in 1975 and implements its programmes in all the 10 regions of the country.
