collective responsibility of Ghanaians

Accra, May 29, GNA – Dr Lawrence Tetteh, a Ghanaian international evangelist, at the weekend noted that it is the collective responsibility of Ghanaians to contribute their quota to national development and not place the burden on only politicians.

He said leaving the task of nation building to the hands of politicians alone was an exercise in futility. Dr Tetteh, who made this known to the Ghana News Agency in Accra during a five-day crusade at the Trade Fair site, said it was wrong for any Ghanaian to be aloof about the task of national reconstruction. He said it was important for the citizenry to acknowledge the fact that it is the hand of God that stirs a nation to success hence the need for “every one to take note of the God factor”.

“Ghanaians should not loose sight that it is God who has kept the nation together. Politicians must therefore make the Almighty the pillar stone of all their deliberations and should not disown Christianity and Godliness. Touching on the crusade he said the presence of the Lord was felt by the congregation who ignored the vagaries of the weather especially rainfall to bring the sick to be healed and their friends and relatives to be freed from their bondage.

He said a medical student who was afflicted by AIDS was prayed for, and she followed it up with a medical report, which confirmed that she had been healed. “A six-year old girl with a bone piercing at the hip side and couldn’t walk was also healed. “This shows that if people can place their faith in God they could always testify to miracles, because there is nothing that the Lord cannot do. “Ghana needs a miracle and it is only the Lord who can do it. There is no situation that God cannot resolve,” he stressed.
