Collapsed building kills two in Accra

Two workers at a construction site died on Monday, 5 July as a two-storey building under construction collapsed on them at Okpoigonno in Accra.

One person who was trapped under the wreckage has been rescued and is responding to treatment at the hospital.

The Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service, Billy Anaglate, confirmed this to Class News.

A joint team of police and Fire Service personnel retrieved the two bodies from the wreckage.

Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the collapse of the building.
