CODEO observer commends Ghanaians for orderly vote

Aflao, Dec. 28, GNA – Dr. Alfred Salia Fawundu, a member of the Coalition of Domestic Observers (CODEO), on Sunday commended Ghanaians for the orderly polls so far.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Denu, he said Ghanaian voters and parties were setting a new democratic trend in African elections.

Meanwhile, the Ghana News Agency journalist accompanying Dr Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, Chairman of the Electoral Commission, reports that voting is progressing smoothly in several areas in the Greater Accra and southern Volta Region.

There is cooperation among party agents at the polling stations in the region. GNA observed that even NPP agents who do not have accreditation were allowed to observe the vote.

Meanwhile, Dr Afari-Gyan has said an alleged mark beside the photograph of one of the two candidates is unfounded.

The Chairman of the EC is touring the Greater Accra, southern Volta and Eastern regions.
