Cocoa Farmers Visit Dundee, Scotland

Two cocoa farmers from Ghana, on a whirlwind tour of the UK as part of fair trade fortnight, visited Dundee today.

The farmers from the Kuapa Kokoo co-operative spent the day in the city along with representatives of the Day Chocolate Company to highlight fair trade issues.

The visit was organised by the One World Centre and Dundee City Council in connection with the Day Chocolate Company.

The day included a visit to The Body Shop, where the farmers tried shea butter, which is made from cocoa.

They also went to The Health Shop, the Shout magazine office at D. C. Thomson & Co. Ltd., and had lunch at St John’s High School, where they talked to senior pupils.
