Cocoa farmers advised to ensure regular repayment on loans

Nyinahin (Ash), Dec 20, GNA – A bank manager has appealed to cocoa farmers to make regular repayment on loans granted to them by the banks.

Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu, acting Ashanti Area Manager of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), said this at the launch of ADB Cocoa Hi-Tech Programme at Nyinahin in the Atwima-Mponua District. He said irregular payments on loans was a major concern to the bank since it was the bank’s desire to increase the facility to enable them work on the farms.

Mr Wilberforce Owusu-Ansah, District Chief Executive for Atwima-Mponua, urged the farmers to redouble their efforts to produce more cocoa for the nation.
