Cobbler on GH¢5,000 bail for stealing electrical bulbs

Kwadwo Sarfo, a 38-year-old cobbler who stole two electrical bulbs worth GH¢4.00 has been granted a bail of GH¢5,000 with one surety by the Akim Swedru Circuit Court.

Sarfo pleaded not guilty to stealing and would reappear on May 22, 2013.

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Adelaide Appiakorang told the court presided over by Mr Yaw Atta Sampong that, Yaw Osei, a plumber and David Agbeko were the complainants; living at Akim Oda.

Chief Inspector Appiakorang said on March 19, this year, at about 0130 hours, a witness in the case saw the accused removing electrical bulbs fixed at the frontage of the shops of Osei and Agbeko.

The witness therefore alerted a friend and they apprehended Sarfo and informed the complainants who reported the matter to the Police.
