Cluster of Schools receives books from American

Adaklu-Kodzobi (V/R), May 24, GNA – Sixteen cartons of story books valued at 2,000 dollars were presented to Adaklu-Kodzobi Cluster of Basic Schools and Kindergarten on Monday.

The books were donated by Mrs Alice Gainer, an American who is also the Development Queen of the community through the initiative of Togbe Dzegblade IV, Chief of the community.

Togbe Dzegblade who presented the books on behalf of the donor expressed regret at the falling standards in the English language among pupils and students blaming this on lack of interest in reading.

He appealed to teachers in schools in the community to encourage the pupils to read the books.

Mr Stanley Ansah, Headteacher of the School, thanked the donor.
