Ashaiman, July 28, GNA – Numo Adinortey Addison, Ashaiman Municipal Chief Executive, has presented school uniforms and exercise books to the Ashaiman Government Cluster of Basic Schools in Ashaiman.
He expressed regret that there were some children in the Municipality who did not have school uniforms to attend classes.
Numo Adinortey Addison said during the recent flood disaster, a number of school children lost their cloths including their school uniforms.
He said the Education Oversight Committee of the Municipal Assembly had taken note of all the challenges facing education in the Municipality and steps would be taken to address them.
Some of these challenges are security in schools, additional toilet facilities, new kitchens for the school feeding programme, and additional infrastructure for the school shift system.
